Odd moment. When shown in studio and introduced as Chris's own car it had old style grey on black numberplates. When seen on road as here in Dingle (Ireland), reflective plates ... Also in the studio, it looked a darker blue, although that might have been lighting effect more than real difference.

Possible that he changed the plates between the film being made and the studio bit being made. Plenty of pics online with the reflective plates:

1978 by plate. Can it be a later one with older bumpers, mirrors etc or just a mistake on the registration (it's only registered since 2012).

Probable explanation - all vehicles manufactured after 1 January 1973 must display reflective number plates in UK. So the old style plates seen in studio are illegal for UK road use - not sure about RoI filming though.

Or they were prop versions of the plate.
