Saviem? Renault? Ou Avia, va savoir... |

It can't be a Renault, due to the grille (which was a large black plastic one on 1978+ RVI's vans). Not an Alfa-Romeo either as it would have different blinkers, and MAN would be largely and visibly written across the grille of a German van (nl). I see here the 1968-77 front face of a Saviem SG2 / (1973+) SG3 or of a 1968+ Avia A15/A20. A raised-roof van in both case (Fourgon surélévé in French. How was that roof called in Czech?), but the cab roof hasn't the molding that should be seen on a regular Saviem model. It looks in fact a lot more like the sleek roof of an Avia van: Where was the scene shot? ⇒ 1968 Avia A-15 (by default)? _____ Weasel1984's expertise needed here -- Last edit: 2016-06-25 08:26:23 |

As filmed in Hungary, too, maybe the Czechoslovakian version? |

Yes it is Avia, by the roof and place for badge (or even overpainted badge) on grille. Avia had to has this "step" roof since 1979, when they increased capacity of the smaller version and changed its name to A-20 - "A-20 F" in case of fourgon, however I'm sure that with this grille it is already the 1980s A-21 F. The A20s and very early A21s had different one: - 1979-83 A-20 F (some had horizontal silver bars on it) - 1983-?? A-21 F (silver bars were still to meet on some) - later, but still 1980s A-21 |
