This is actually a 1986 IROC-Z28. The single spoke 85-87 IROC wheels give that away, then the 3rd high mount exterior brake light was only an option on 1986 models. |

Was Z28 a chassis code or trim level? |

It is the trim level. Then The IROC was a sport package that could be added on. I will make some comments on a lot of the third gens. I own an 86 IROC and I am rather knowledgable on the 82-92 Camaros. |

The director mentioned he always liked the IROC-Z and he got to keep this car after production. |
