@ rjluna2:
C-Series names were no longer used for GMC models from 1988 onwards?

It is based on the class of drive system; C = 2 wheels drive and K = 4 wheels drive. Also it is based on the weight class as well: 1500, 2500 and 3500 series. It is still applies to the modern GMC pickup trucks.

I know that the Wikipedia is bit messy, but it does states what classes on these drive/weight series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_C/K and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Silverado

The C/K nomenclature was no longer used on US GMC model from 1988 onwards, and on US Chevrolet from 1999 onwards. The first WP page you link (which emphasize on Chevrolet models) says it too:
Quote Production → 1960-1998 (United States)

I didn't question this part (which was not mentioned in the previous comments), as I agree with it ;)
But if you read carefully the concerned WP page, there is no mention of any C-Something for these 1999+ versions...

The truck of this page is a GMC model, so it's not a C-something, "just" a Sierra Something.

They still have the weight class display at the below beltline trim shown here.

Or you can browse these vehicles at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:GMC_Sierra_%28GMT400/GMT480%29 to find these weight class script at the side trim (look by the front door area).

Extended Cab.

It doesn't have the 1997+ dashboard (see Purzel89's last thumb), so Club Coupe: the Extended Cab name was used only from 1997 onwards.

Filmed in Canada. Shame this isn't the US as the DRLs would indicate a 1996 model.

i think 1996 might be the year when they switched the DRL's position
i mean, there was no point having them in two different position on the same truck

Baube I found it!!! 1996 GM swapped DRLs. Here is a 1995 in your market WITH the truck on (you don't want to know how many listings I looked at without the truck lights being on prior to finding this one :(): Link to "www.kijiji.ca"

This solidifies our speculation that 1990-1995 models have DRLs in the high-beam sockets as opposed to the 1996-1999/2000 models with the DRLs in the low-beam. Nice work Baube! This applies to all GM products so there may be a few that need to be fixed or have 'Made for CDN.'

there was many changes.this also touches the whole big SUV family and Astro/Safari when equipped with the composite headlight
Savana/Express also had one , switching from headlight to turn signal ( or the opposite )
same applies to Cobalt/Pursuit/G5Pursuit/G5 ( and whatever name guys at Pontiac thought of.. ) but them it was from turn signal to headlight

i just don't know when those change applied ( for the vans i think it was around 2007, might be same for Cobalt and Pontiac counterpart )

If thats true for the Cobalt, i’ll have to run through them to narrow down the years.

it's true, i've seen more than my share of both headlight and turn signal as DRL :)
just unsure of when it did happened

I saw a comment left on the only Cobalt without a year that hinted sometime in between 2006-07. Brochures may help or night images to confirm this.
