Should be newer version of GM TDH. I think they changed the brand name. |

If an SFMR unit, #3000-3179 were 1969 GMC T8H-5305. |

nicked 'fishbowl' sometimes for the arched windscreen |

Called "Fishbowl" because of the SIZE of the windscreen was much larger when compared to that of their predecessors... |

Can you give a source, please? According to Wikipedia: • the silver logo plate appeared in 1968, not 1969. • as 1968+ model, it can't be a TDH, as set for now, only a T6H/T6M or a T8H/T8M. -- Last edit: 2016-04-08 01:34:44 |

The source is that San Francisco Municipal Railway #3153 was a 1969 GMC T8H5305. GMC T8H5305 production list showing serial numbers 184-250 were delivered to San Francisco Municipal Railway in July 1969: http://omot.org/roster/GMList/t8h5305.html Muni Roster showing 3000-3179 as 1969 GMC T8H5305: Link to "cptdb.ca" The only way this isn't a 1969 GMC T8H5305 is if it's another bus dressed up to be Muni #3153. The second link indicates that the real Muni #3153 still exists and is in Williams, CA. Therefore, it's logical to assume this is the real one. |
