Fun fact: National invented the captain's chairs. In 1915 they introduced the "parlor car" which had heavily cushioned armchair-like rotatable and adjustable passenger seats that could be adjusted to have a quiet talk over the pounding of the wind with no seatbelts - at blistering 34 hp! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50612701193_ce5be49224_z.jpg The nonchalancy of that fatal lifestyle that lasted well into the sixties truly was something else. -- Last edit: 2023-10-09 15:40:46 |
