Unusual bonnet mascot, but could not get good focus on it. |

Bonnet mascot is not a guide to anything, there was a large aftermarket for such things at this time. Some were a bit jokey and cartoon like, and led to Royces introducing Miss Thornton posing in such an aura of elegance. A modern equivalent would be like trying to identify a hatchback from the design of the sat nav sucker. -- Last edit: 2016-01-29 09:01:21 |

Looks similar to this Albion 25cwt (about late 1921) even to the point of the short bonnet and having a spot-light by the driver, but not completely convinced. The windscreen is split horizontally not vertically, the front mudguards are shorter. Chassis possibly the same but different body? |

My immediate thought was Albion, but the sun didn't appear to be in the ascendant. Just like Royce's you could by an Albion chassis and clothe it yourself, so any variation is possible. |
