KE 7014 = 1921ish Kent plate. I wanted it to be a steam truck but did not spot a funnel, smoke or a rounded front. However the angle is obstructive .....

Probably a steam lorry because of the 'suction hose' hanging under the rear, plus what I guess is an auxiliary water tank? Also those wheels are distinctive. Compare with this Sentinel - Link to "www.nrm.org.uk" or Google search Sentinel steam lorry.

Yup - that's what I was thinking of. Could not have told you the name or anything else - just a picture in my mind.

Probably a Sentinel DG4, the Garrett steam lorry has 6 spokes in the front wheel, this seems to have 8 in common with the Sentinel pictures I have seen. Leyland cast iron wheels are not convex, but flat, Foden undertypes seem to have pressed steel wheels or flat cast ones, Atkinsons are flatter in section, and Claytons have paired Y shaped spokes.

Unless the pictures can come up with anything different my suggestion would be to go with Sentinel.

If I understand pages like this and this correctly DG versions were 1926+. It was just Waggon (or Standard?) in 1921, with Super added in 1923.

The six-wheeler seems to pre-date the Sentinal DG4 four wheeler, which appears to start in 1929

I'm addicted to the CM archive...

edit: before the above models - no name/'wagon'/'steamer'/'overtype'/'standard lorry' are all used.....

That's a great archive! Thanks for the link. About Sentinel, I recently visited a Prague Techical Museum. There was a special dislay about steam engines in the basement of the museum. I learned that Skoda license built Sentinel steam trucks at one point. There was a video of one restored Skoda-Sentinel truck driving around.
