not neccessarily. There were quite a lot of Swiss tractor-makers back then. http://www.traktorenmuseum-pauenhof.de/halle-4-6/ ...and this is only a museum in Northwest-Germany, far away from the area, where a few Swiss makes appeared. |

No, it's the common size for the small acres in the mountainous rural areas in the Alpine countries and Southern Germany. N.B. Not only the mountains are a reason for the small acres over there, it's also typical for Catholic regions. Because there inherited farmland and properties were divided between the descendants (and became smaller every generation due that), while in Protestantic regions in Northern Germany always the oldest son got it all. |

this is why I really hate this old B/W footage with tractors it's very easy to ID them based on color |
