This is actually a 2013 model built in September. The vehicle sat for half a year before being registered. BMW, as far as I know, does not use MYs. https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wby1z210x0vx63892 |

I believe they use something similar to Mercedes-Benz' SA codes - tore-40 may know more. |

They don't code the model year or even production year in the VIN - for non-US vehicles. Most decoders don't mention the year, the ones that do usually gives an error, or just the data from the 10. digit - here a zero which is normally not used for the year.
