Yep, 1960, I suppose because of the trim. But should it be listed as a Valiant V200 or as a Chrysler Valiant V200?

In 1960 the Valiant rolled down the line next to the Imperials. There was no 2 door, hard top, or convertible. One could chose from a 4 door sedan or a station wagon, though there were several levels & options. The only engine was Valiant\'s 1st year of the 170 Cast Iron Slant/6, engine & transmissions were tilted @ 30 degrees. They came in a push button automatic 3 speed, or a 3 speed manual on the floor, with an unusual \'S\' shaped shifter. In 1960 they were the 1st compact offered by Chrysler, named simply the Valiant. The Valiant was the 1st & only car on the planet to offer an alternator vs. the generator. You couldn\'t even get one on a 300 F. A variety of performance piecges were also offered, Most notable was the Legendary Hyper Pack. This package consisted of a 4 bbl. carburetor, hotter cam, split factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, marine ignition, & a Long Ram style induction system. So successful were they, that they dominated America\'s 1st compact car race set up by a car magazine, on a high banked track. They took the 1st 15 places. Critics objected, so the next day saw the inside of the track ala. T/A style run, with left & right turns. Results were the same. Wally Parks vowed \"never to run this race again.\"
