If a ½-ton to 1-ton model: H-series. If a 1½-ton truck: T-Series (source: Stovebolt.com). @ achiu31: No view of the rear part? |

It is in this shot - /vehicle_865996-Dodge-Airflow-Tanker.html - maybe a One and a half ton truck? Link to "www.oldchevytrucks.com" - the codes are well down this page. |

There isn't really more details in the linked screenshot. Just some more boxes and packages But given the way the ones on the bed overflow on the sides, it should be a platform. Which means... either a former ¾-ton / 1-ton H-series stake or a 1½-ton T-Series one. Back to square one, less the ½-ton model which existed only as pickup, panel and Canopy Express. Unless a post-factory platform made on the chassis-cab version... This said, from what I saw in pictures and brochures, ½-ton to 1-ton trucks have rounded bumper ends while the 1½-ton versions have square ends: And I see a square end model in the main pic... This and what seems to be a large hole in the front left wheel rim could indeed indicate a 1½-ton T-Series. What about a ⇒ 1938 Chevrolet T-Series Platform? _____ @ nzcarnerd: I assume that the codes shown in the oldchevytrucks.com page are the same already given in the link of my previous comment. I gave up scrolling like hell to check these codes, it's too long. This page shows all posts written since February 2010! |
