The wheels mean nothing, as all German brands over the decades, also at Mercedes Benz every shitty little extra item was available only for extra charge. The only Benzes, I remember right now, which had alloys as standard equipment, were the 300 SEL 6.3 and the 450 SEL 6.9 Maybe it was different in some export countries, but in Germany there was no car maker, where alloys were not optionals for extra costs (except some single special models, as the 1972 "Weltmeister" VW 1302) |
