For the bumper (with its large lateral protections), I understand that it was an Argentinian law requirement, appliable to imported cars too. |

This is the very first Karmann-Ghia, from 1955-58. The Brazilian made was the second series, with chromed vents, a higher fender line and revised rear light. This one was made in Germany for sure. |
