This car is cool. (Only the second here. And only in documentaries.) |

We have nine altogether. Don't worry about the GD2/GD3 difference - it's a bizarre code for first year having floor gear change, which then - to satisfy the sporting motorist trying to unleash the full potential of the A40 Devon's supercar capabilities - became a column change. 0-60 mph now only took 3 days. And a strong smell of burning rubber. |

I have ridden in an A40 Sports, registration number RVT 1. Don't look, it's now on something else, and you are thinking more of the performance of a Hillman Minx Californian with its mighty 37.5 bhp flathead four, even the Phase VIII was not much quicker. The A 40 Sports had a 50 bhp twin carburettor version of the 1200cc ohv engine, giving 80mph top speed, and the aluminium body was made at Jensen's. -- Last edit: 2015-09-19 14:14:47 |
