As it has full doors... If a VLCO then it can only be a 1994 (30 1994 VLCOs were built in this configuration). If a 1996 then it has to be a HMCO (this designation was used for full door open top Hummers from 1995-04). A decent view of the other side would narrow down an ID a bit more. At the moment we default these full door ones as HMCO. The steel wheels introduced in 99/00 had a larger and more prominent triangle part than the ones seen here. |

Check again in the first and last thumbnails... There are triangles on the wheels All the black triangle seems to mean is that the Hummer has a Central Tyre Inflation system fitted to almost all Hummers. |

I have investigated a little more (I got a bit intrigued after I spotted a few 1992s without triangles), seems like CTIS was an optional extra from the start so might not be on as many as I thought. There does seem to be a slightly different design of wheels used from 1996 though it is more difficult to spot than the triangles (only really visible with close/HQ pictures). Will investigate further. |
