1996+ Turbo R or Brooklands (the chrome Mulsanne-style grille is custom) Or it may be a Rolls with Bentley bits added (a 1996+ Bentley wouldn't have chrome door mirrors, I don't think) -- Last edit: 2015-08-13 21:44:42 |

Bentley Mulsanne Stretch Limousine |

robgeelen2, it's a post-1996 facelift model (larger bumper section) and there was no Mulsanne model by then. |

As well as having chrome mirrors, it also has chrome on top of the bumper, which Bentleys did not have. Which leads me to believe this is a stretched Rolls redressed as a Bentley (all you'd have to do is swap the headlights, grille, alloys and badges). 1996 Rolls-Royce: http://www.balmoraluk.com/vehiclesold.php?vehicleID=135 1996 Bentley Brooklands & Turbo R: http://www.balmoraluk.com/vehiclesold.php?vehicleID=101 http://www.balmoraluk.com/vehiclesold.php?vehicleID=100 And notice the chrome trim along the bottom of the doors, which the Bentleys don't have (OK, this is a stretch limo so it could have been put there anyway) Also that grille doesn't look right at all, it's too flat, Bentley grilles arch outwards slightly. Here's a 1996 Turbo R with a Mulsanne style grille probably made to order by Bentley themselves http://www.balmoraluk.com/vehiclesold.php?vehicleID=115 but the one on this mourner's car seems like a cack-handed attempt at one (you couldn't just take one off an old Mulsanne and stick it on because it wouldn't fit due to the larger bumper added in the 1996 facelift) -- Last edit: 2015-08-20 14:45:53 |

@johnfromstaffs, @AnimatronixX: now I need a slight argumentation aid, why this Link to "www.autotrader.co.uk" could be an appropriate daily driver |
◊ 2019-03-02 17:44 |
It wouldn’t. Aside from being like a sinking barge to drive, it would cost a fortune in tyres if you went above 40mph. |

Well, it may be a bit annoying to drive the forest path, we take to reach the nicest doggie walk near the village And my parking lot at the office is too short. At least it's no underground car park, as my wife has at their office. |

It's prefect for you, get it bought. |

Perfectly sums it up. A Silver Spirit is never an appropriate daily driver - for nobody on earth! Probably someone will learn the hard way very soon, as the classified ad is no longer available... Good luck, then! The Coway Coachbuilders of Westhoughton were not ashamed to build various Silver Spirit six-door limousines and the one shown above might be one of them. The Bentley update was posibbly done while they were at it anyway. |

Thank you for destroying illusions So I have to look for annother adequate statement in the hysterical paranoia abour individual traffic, we actually have in Germany. Probably I will focus the view on US cast iron |

Just trying to save your money! A fellow hearse enthusiast shared your dream of owning a Silver Spirit - and chose the more expensive way of destroying the illusion by buying one a couple of years ago. Let's just say: It didn't work out, I only ever saw it once and I'm still afraid to ask him about it, because he is such a nice guy. |

The ideal vehicle for your doggie walk visits would be a Reliant Kitten Estate, it’s economical, will take your animals, unless you’ve got three Great Danes, and would make much more of a statement than any manky stretched Rolls-Royce. You main problem would be finding one. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliant_Kitten -- Last edit: 2019-03-08 11:49:20 |

Thanks for the tipp. Indeed, I would like to have a Reliant again, since the short time with my brother-in-law's Robin was so much fun. But I prefer the 1970ies Robin with the round headlights. Such one is hard to find too. As Sandie and dsl told me, some years ago you could pick them up for 50 squids, but these times are gone. Also in Holland and Belgium, where a few were sold too, increased the prices. P.S. our doggie is small enough to find space in it, but I can use a Robin only in the summer - I have to wear wet look clothes and leggings to have rudimentally space. No Jeans, no pullover and no coat. |

Perhaps the better option in terms of stability... |

Obviously Gamer has not heard the joke about the two sharks and the green octopus, the punchline being “Here’s that sick squid I owe you”. |
