1971-72 grille, plus the Fleetside bed and the brand new Cheyenne trim. The inside mirror seems to be a 1971 only one (fixed to the roof).

Medium wheelbase (127"/3.23 m) and bed ("8 ft.", i.e. 98"/2.49 m) of a long C-10 / standard C-20 or Longhorn model, meaning a long C-20 / standard C-30 with the 133" wb & 104"/2.64 m bed?

(Medium model // "Longhorn" one)

From what I understood, the size of the wheels seem to indicate at least a C-20. But it has to be confirmed by experts :)

I can't tell which weight class this is due to limited viewing wheels profile :/

According to the Dammann book, this one is equip with the optional Deluxe package.

???
You mean Custom Deluxe? The Deluxe "only" name has never been part of Chevrolet's packages (at least for the C/K-Series trucks), it was only used by GMC for its standard/basic trim level

Anyway, not a Custom Deluxe trim here: the front chrome bumper was only available with the Cheyenne package. Please follow the link I gave in the previous comment to see the differences between the Custom, Custom Deluxe and Cheyenne trim levels.

The more you say about your book, the more it sounds having errors and gaps: remember that we already had that discussion about the Cheyenne trim for 1971+ models, and don't forget the non mentioned dual rear wheel option for the 1963+ C-20. I prefer (continue to) trust the Chevrolet literature of the concerned years :D

It has nothing to do with the trim level, it is a optional package sold to any trim level.

I'll admit that the Dammann book do contains some error in it :/ Unfortunately, it is my bible for the Chevrolet marquee :(

Picture a garage that exists for a billion years. It will remain empty for those billion years unless someone puts this truck in the main capture inside. I'm glad you're so secure about your belief. :D

Carl Sagan's Cosmos! I loved that show when it was broadcast, and still have the book. "The trees and the humans, close cousins..."
