eLMeR ◊ 2015-06-02 03:39	I first thought about a Saviem SG4 (dual rear wheels), but the wheel arches don't match. Apparently filmed in Spain. What kind of trucks were used in Spain in 1976? Ebro, SAVA? What were the other Spanish truck makes? Was there a medium-duty truck that SEAT could have manufactured? Or could it be a foreign make, as the late years of Franco's dictatorship seem to have made the international trade easier?

It could also be a D-350, which shares the same specs for some versions (2.18 m/86" high, 1.95 m/77" wide, 2.60 m/102" wheelbase, and so on) (1). So it's certainly better to keep it as a D-Series. And of course it can't be a revamped late 1970s model, due to the release date of the movie. ManuelB wrote [...] Clearly not a Saviem. As Frenchman born during the production period of the SG trucks, I also grew up with them as "background vehicles", I still see some of them from time to time, and I even drove one some years ago. But I'm not ashamed to acknowledge that I can confuse them with much rarer Ebro trucks, all the more when seen from that viewpoint -- Last edit: 2015-06-03 23:06:13
