I think somewhere about this time the Ruby went from skinny 17" tyres to slightly fatter 16s. The tyres on this car look 'skinny'. In the 1960s we had a 1937 Ruby which was on 4.75/500 x 16 tyres. -- Last edit: 2015-05-31 22:39:04 |

I have been doing a little research on these and it would seem that the 16" tyres may have been export only? There is only the briefest mention on this page - http://www.austin7.org/Data%20Pages/Ruby%201/ but it does show the visible difference between the models at the base of the windscreen. The car here may be the earlier variant? |
