1996-1997 F-250 by the shortbed configuration. F-350 was only ever offered with the longbed.

Has a much older tailgate with 'FORD' stamped across it. Also appears to have a Cummins Turbo Diesel badge from a newer Dodge Ram/Ram Heavy Duty on the fender.

From reading the ford forums extensive work is needed to put a shortbed on an F-350. The frame holes don’t match up I believe was the issue.

But the bed appears to be from a much older truck?

It appears to be the short bed off an F-150.

Go peruse the ford forums. It is extremely difficult to add a shortbed to an F-350. Hence why I listed as an F-250. Let me dig up some articles.

You have to cut the fram to swap on a short bed. Most body shops won’t cut a frame: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1171687-short-bed-swap.html

No worries. I use Ford-trucks.com as a reference. Very helpful folks.

The F-250 Crew Cab was 1996-1997 only and only came with the 6 3/4 foot bed.
The F-350 Crew Cab was 1983-1997 in SRW and only came with the 8 foot bed.
The F-350 Crew Cab Dually was 1985-1997.
The F-350 SuperCab Dually was 1988-1997.
No F-350* SuperCab SRW exist by those brochures.
There was a Regular Cab 4x4 F-350 SRW.
No F-350 Regular Cab 4x2 exist from 1987-1997. From my research.

Edit: stopped at 1997 because the Super Duty lineup is different.

Maybe I should do a topic on the forum  I have to research when the Dually shortbed came out. I believe it was '95.
