Suburban model, not TDH-anything. |

How do we list these usually? As we don't have any GM/GMC bus with "Suburban" in their name, just the well known SUV. |

I think as "TDH," which is completely wrong. "New Look" should probably be the generic term for an unknown GM bus of this body style. The word "Suburban" isn't part of the name; the model designation just begins with "S" instead of "T." I'll make an educated guess that this one is an S8M5304A. |

"the Bus World Encyclopedia of Buses" (pg 99) does make a distinction between New Look Transit models and New Look Suburban models ... There were 35 foot models, the majority of which were produced between 1960 through 1967: Ninety-one more were made between 1968-73..Models were SDH-4501, SDH-4502, SDM-4501, SDM-4502, S6H-4503/4503A, S6M-4503/4503A, S6H4504A and S6M-4504A.. Forty (40) foot models were also produced from 1960 through 1976....Models were SDH-5301, SDM-5301, SDH-5302, SDM-5302, S8H-5303A, S8M-5303A, S8H5304A and S8M-5304A.. So GMC SDH or SDM something...... |
