I just watched this episode and I am 100% certain this stretch is based on a 1982 Deville for the following reasons; 1980 - 1984 Sedan DeVille's were very similar, but only 82,83,84 had the chrome moulding going down the center of the hood, so that rules out the possibility it was an 80 or 81, this car has the chrome center hood moulding. This car has amber signal lenses and 83 & 84 had clear lenses. Also this car has the HT4100 emblem on the front fender and only 1982 & 1983 models has those emblems. The color of this car is 'Desert Dusk' firemist metallic which was only available in 1982. So the only year that would have amber signal lenses with the HT4100 emblem and center chrome hood moulding would be a 1982. Also this car was not stetched by Dillinger Coachworks on Long Island N.Y., their trademark was a stainless steel B pillar and this car had a full padded vinyl roof running down the B pillar. I noticed no identifiers that would indicate the coachbuilder. In the early 80's there were several in the So. CA area, it could have been any one of them.

^ Even though the brushed B-pillar was indeed their usual trademark, various Dillinger limos with vinyl padded wide B-pillar or even without the typical B-pillar panel at all were built.

We bought/leased a few limos from Gaines back then and I knew Jack Schwartz personally & ALL of his stretch limos had the stainless steel B pillar no exceptions. My limos were brought to his service facility many, many times both at the Mill Ave. Brooklyn facility and the Bronx location and ALL of the many limos in there had the stainless B pillars. The stainless steel B pillar was his trademark. he even ran ads in New York Magazine telling people to look for his limos by the stainless steel B pillars.
