After September 1960 smaller 13" diameter wheels (also initially Mk.I had suicide doors). Mk.II or Mk.III. edit (1): also long wheelbase from Mk.II onwards edit (2): CALC - CA long wheelbase/chassis-cab. (Secondary comment: Reflective number plates fitted from 1967 and this style of plate became compulsory on new vehicles from 1973 so more likely to be Mk.III 1964-70.) -- Last edit: 2015-04-06 12:51:32 |

1966 truck CCC 892D, chassis CAL26309412 - "This 1966 Bedford CA was purchased by the vendor in 2013 to be used in the new 'Paddington' film about the friendly bear from Peru with the voice of Colin Firth and starring Nicole Kidman. After changing the colour and checking through the engine, gearbox and all the other mechanics on the flatbed it was sent on set knowing that it would be reliable." - from June 2014 auction entry. |
