In this case the name would be the RAC horsepower of the car, followed sometimes by the body type. To find this a view of the number plate would be useful, and then a dip into the books. There is, however, a significant clue in the wheels, according to my book, the only use of Easicleen wheels on this type of body makes it a 1937 Austin Eighteen. -- Last edit: 2015-03-31 08:45:32

johnfromstaffs ◊ 2015-04-02 08:07	The car in the picture with the sailors does not appear to have the aftermarket draft deflectors. The difference between the Sixteen and the Eighteen was probably just the diameter of the cylinders, and maybe the odd gewgaw on the dashboard. Austins may have found that the smaller engine sold less well than expected and deleted it to reduce inventory. -- Last edit: 2015-04-02 17:36:00
