Custom stretched limousine on Cadillac chassis, from late 70s or early 80s. It has a special grille cap and a fake 1942 Cadillac "Goddess" hood ornament. To be filed with "Custom" cars. |

Poor limo! Why they've destroyed a so nice beauty?! |

Maybe because it´s a conversion by Dillinger Coachworks (I think so) and these were all junk. The world is full of 70s/ 80s stretchies, made by hundreds of coachbuilders - and nobody wants to buy them. Honestly, I sometimes wonder why they don´t destroy more of them in the movies... By the way: The car on the 2nd pic is a different one. |

So old stretch-limos are cheap to buy? I was wondering, when I saw last year at our honeymoon-trip to Antigua an abandoned rotten stretch-limo somewhere in the bushes beside the street. And this one: /vehicle_83348-Lincoln-Town-Car-Stretched-Limousine.html makes at least a stunt, too. It landed in a river (if I remember that movie correctly). |

In a recent article, Automobile Magazine participated in a rally for junkers in a 1983 Cadillac limousine they bought for $250 (no, that's not a typo). Against all odds, they were able to drive it from New York to New Orleans. Link to "www.automobilemag.com" |

Old limos are cheap because nobody wants them. They're too impractical for private owners, and once they hit a certain age they lose "prestige" factor and limo services don't want to use them anymore, either. |

In this movie used 2 different stretch on the top miniature-Cadillac 1980-1981,stretching Classic (their early job ). On bottom miniature also Cadillac C-platfform (RWD),but he is two interval's between central window, may be Moloney. -- Last edit: 2019-01-16 23:26:10 |
