Would you go for 1939-40 Speed 25 SC (as no running boards)?? I'm looking at basic book photos, and seems TA14 was basically same as final Speed 25 but wider, while I've got a match for Speed 25 SC, including vertical hood edge and square corner on rear of door window - other Alvises seem rounded corners. |

Compared against the Rover in front of it, I thought it was a bit smaller than a "Speed" model, but wouldn't argue with your suggestion. |

This is definitely NOT an Alvis Speed 25. This is an Alvis TA 14 Drophead Coupé. These bodies were made by Carbodies of Coventry and Tickford. |
