one survives...supplied by the Tony Oliver History On Wheels Collection, Windsor, UK..currentlt (2008) one of these vehicles still survives as an exhibit. |

As Kees-Jan stated recently this should be called Type 23 rather than U23. |

Perhaps not, it depends how old this particular truck is. Earlier models was named Type 23s, but later they were called U23, which was also used on it's replacement which has a completely different front. I painted a U23 that was the same shape as the one used here, earlier this year. Because it was a later build, it was not called a Type 23. |

Apparently one of these trucks is being offered on eBay, as a 1949 version although if it's the genuine article then it's been repainted and had some body work done to the cargo area. Link to "cgi.ebay.co.uk" |
