Well one still exists at DisneyLand with the Traction Cabriolet and MK1 replica tank.

As Kees-Jan stated recently this should be called Type 23 rather than U23.

Perhaps not, it depends how old this particular truck is. Earlier models was named Type 23s, but later they were called U23, which was also used on it's replacement which has a completely different front.

I painted a U23 that was the same shape as the one used here, earlier this year. Because it was a later build, it was not called a Type 23.

I would like to see some pictures of the U23 at Disneyland.

Apparently one of these trucks is being offered on eBay, as a 1949 version although if it's the genuine article then it's been repainted and had some body work done to the cargo area.

The eBay ad mentions that it also appeared in Poirot, so perhaps this is the same one:

not an official historian but.. since Hitler signs Henry Sr's book, shouldn't it be older than that ?

@ Baube Well The Shining opens in Montana, then uses the front exterior of a lodge in Oregon, then films all the interiors and builds the maze in England and the whole story is set in Colorado.

The actor that plays Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off was almost 30 playing a high school student.

The opening of True Lies is supposed to be Switzerland except it's really Rhode Island, US.

Whatever they can make work the best for filming and crew, props, filming locations and vehicles that are available to them and most people wouldn't notice this vehicle is too new.

I wonder where Baube is. This was his last comment above, over two months ago. He posted daily up until then. :/

Was the one that got destroyed a replica or a legit '49 Citroen truck?
