6x6 US Army 6-tonner Model666. Built by White, Brockway, Corbitt, FWD and WardLaFrance, so difficult to tell if we don't have the ID plate inside the cab ![]() |

The White 666 and the Corbitt 50 SD6 were identical, while the Brockway, FWD and Ward LaFrance made specialised vehicles on this base. To what I know Brockway and Ward LaFrance made crane trucks and bridge layers. Also gas tank trucks, Signal Corps vans, and tractors were produced by Brockway, Ward LaFrance and FWD. So far I have not found any information who made the tipper version, but one image saying that it is a White 666. This name is perhaps correct or was just given for the lack of a more precise identification. http://www.blim.co.uk/pictures/pictures/252_500w.jpg I would suggest to use White 666. -- Last edit: 2007-08-19 14:11:35 |
