This is the version F91/6 (six-seater) built 1956-68. It could be the longer version F91/8 (eight-seater). http://www.panzerbaer.de/helper/bw_lkw_00-25t_gl_munga-a.htm The same vehicle as here: /vehicle_8243-Auto-Union-Munga-F91.html |

The other one, from episode 5.11:![]() (no reason to keep it on a separated page since it is the same model and also only a background car) |

These Auto-Union MUNGA vehicles are ours (www.internationalmovie.com), and are ex-German Bundeswehr previously stationed for training purposes in Shilo, Manitoba. They're a weird two-cycle (you mix the oil and gas) creature with one set of points and one coil for each spark plug. The whole engine looks like you could pick it up and take it as carry-on luggage. I don't recall the year exactly but around 1964, I think. |

The production of the extended flatbed (Munga 8) started in early 1962 and ended in December 1968. Yes, some vehicles were stationed in Shilo by the German Armed Forces and after retirement they were either scrapped or sold on site and only very few almost trains were returned to Germany.
