If it is a 1913 model as Gamer says, there is a chance that the action could take place later in the year. I known by the '40s, the newer model year cars were made available to the public in September of the previous year (1942 models available starting September 1941), but was this also the case in the early-1910s? The car industry was still in it's infancy so it wouldn't surprise me if a 1913 car only became first available in January 1913. |

Model years did not exist yet, but instead Ford used fiscal years for reference, 1914 being from October 1, 1913 to July 31, 1914. Gas headlight models continued outside of the Highland Park factory until the spring of 1915 (Highland Park assemblies had electric headlights for '15) though I guess you'd need the chassis number to see if it was one of those. -- Last edit: 2023-07-13 16:05:32 |
