Estate was launched 1966 Geneva show (so always Corsair Estate - no Consul Corsair Estates). Converted by Abbotts of Farnham (like Zephyr/Zodiac Estates), and had glass-fibre tailgate. Rare because expensive and not really roomier than Cortina Estate so largely forgotten now, but 2-Litre GT Estate was an interesting permutation at the time. |

Update - when the V4 Corsair upgrade was launched in Sept 65, the only version with 2 litres was the GT saloon, augmented by the GT estate launch at 1966 Geneva show as above. This was the only way of getting a Corsair estate until Nov 66 when Corsair GTs were dropped - saloon was split into 2000 Deluxe and 2000E, and estate became 2000 Deluxe. All Corsair estates were 2000 engine so [3006E]. |
