Probably a Nubian either Thornycroft/ Scammell / Unipower

Same type front end machine here extreme left and foreground . Middle machine is the Timoney 8x8

Same 3 appliances as featured here , wonder if this was Stansteads full turn out?
Believe Gloster Saro were bodywork manufacturers so chassis will be someone elses . Wheels look like a Nubian but they may have called it something else in later days.

well aren't many buses listed with the coach builder as producer anyway ? so why not with fire truck if can't ID the chassis

These are registered as Gloster Saros so Sandie is right, Gloster Saros they are .

Not a Nubian Chassis either but a Reynolds Boughton 'Taurus' ,

from Commercial Motor-
'The Javelin is based on the Reynolds Boughton Taurus chassis which has a unique auto transmission built by FiB using Borg Warner clutches. It is said to be simple in construction and was separately tested by the BAA at Borg Warner in the USA.'
