If what you're asking is to replace the model name with the generic one, then fine - I'm not gonna stop you. I can say right away, though - that no-one in Norway would refer to it as a "Heavy-Duty", but rather by its gross weight or as "Lastebil". |

I thought that the rule followed in the IMCDb was to stick to sales names rather than to general public ones? If not, I'll ask for a mass renaming for the French VW T1 & T2, as all members of the VW club in my town call them Combi, whatever the model. I'm not simply referring to what most people refer to them by, as "Lastebil" would surely appear in brochures in place of "Heavy-Duty" - as with "Stasjonsvogn", another local name that we use on IMCDb. Another example would be the Wartburg Limousine, which uses different spelling for specific countries, Limuzina and Limusiini - I might try to dig out some Norwegian advertisements on period Chevrolet trucks to double check, but if you think it's better to use the "manufacturer's confirmed official registered certified name" rather than the "local" one as for the moment, be my guest. I could be wrong though, as I was almost certain that the Turnier name was never used in Norway, until I found this .gif ":)") Was there a "Heavy-Duty" badge on these Chevrolets by the way? I fully agree with local names. And I know that if the US names are often used overseas, often doesn't means always I think however that 1½-ton is unlikely to be the Norvegian name, as Chevrolet gave model names to some of its trucks starting with this truck line (Light Delivery for the lightest models, Heavy-Duty for the "heavy" trucks). And one thing is sure: the VD code shouldn't be given to that truck, unless being sure that it has a 158"/4.03 m wheelbase and dual rear wheels. Apparently no badge. The Heavy-Duty name appears only in brochures, ads and related documents. All being US literature, so it doesn't help a lot here. My own experience taught me also several times that even things I take for granted should in fact be checked from time to time.
