Electra 225 is the model name! The model number is either 48439 or 48239.

Isn't 225 rather a trim/engine version of the Electra? (I was usually putting it as extra info)

From 1959 to 1961, the Electra, Electra 225 and Electra 225 Riviera shared their powertrains and their wheelbases but the Electra 225 and Electra 225 Riviera were more luxurious and had a longer rear overhang than the regular Electra models.

Starting in 1962, the regular Electra was dropped so all models were named Electra 225. The luxurious Electra 225 Riviera was at it's last year as the "Riviera" name would be used on Buick's new "personal luxury coupe" starting in 1963. It was replaced by the Electra 225 6 window hardtop sedan for 1963-64.
From 1965 to 1973, the Electra 225 was available in 3 trim levels: Electra 225, the Electra 225 Custom and the Electra 225 Custom Limited.

In 1974, the Electra Limited had it's own serial number so it wasn't an Electra 225 Custom anymore. There were no "Electra 225" badges on the body of the Limited but it was still referred as "Electra Limited" (without 225) by Buick.
In 1975, the base Electra 225 model was dropped so there were the "Electra 225 Custom" (now the cheapest model), "Electra Limited" and the new "Electra Limited Park Avenue". In 1976-77, the Custom name was dropped on the cheaper Electra 225, the Electra Limited and Electra Limited Park Avenue continued. From 1978-on, the Electra Park Avenue was a separate model from the Electra Limited. 1979 was the last year for the Electra 225. In 1980, the base model was named "Electra Limited" (with an "Electra Limited" badge instead of the "Limited" badge used in 1974-79 models) and the more luxurious model was named Electra Park Avenue (without an "Electra" badge). The "Estate Wagon Limited" of 1977-79 was replaced with the Electra Estate Wagon (the first time the "Electra" name was used on a wagon).

From 1985 to 1990, there were the RWD Electra Estate Wagon, and FWD Electra 380 (3.8 liter gas engine), Electra 430 (4.3 diesel), Electra Limited, Electra T/Type, Electra Park Avenue (without an "Electra" badge) and Electra Park Avenue Ultra (also without an "Electra" badge)...

In 1991, the Electra name was dropped and the models that replaced it were the Buick Park Avenue and Buick Park Avenue Ultra.

confused?!

So if I understood well, before 1974 we can consider "225" as part of the name, but after that it only becomes part of the trim names?

"225" is a part of the name on some Electra models from 1959 to 1962, on all Electra models from 1962 to 1974, on all models exept the Electra Limited and Park Avenue from 1974 to 1979 and it wasn't used on the 1980 and newer models...

What I mean by "part of the name", is that it was indicating another car model rather than just another version of the same model.

In 1959, the Buick Electra replaced the Buick Super and the Buick Electra 225 replaced the Buick Roadmaster. They were two different models with different bodies and different trim. Starting in 1962, the Electra was discontinued and only the Electra 225 remained. So if you see the name "Electra" on any 1962-79 Buick, it must be followed by "225"...

So "225" is part of the name on the Electra 225.

Or, as it's known in the 'hood, the "Duece-and-a-Quarter."
