Anything specific that makes this a 2009? This facelift was introduced in 2006, though 2009 is a potential model year as well, since the Heavy Duty versions of this generation of Ram did carryover when the 1500 was redesigned. |

NSW plate BE58VU returns: 2009 RED DODGE RAM UTILITY VIN/Chassis: ********4318 •Tare weight: 3341 kg •Gross vehicle mass: 4763 kg Interestingly, the GVM of 4763 kg means this vehicle can't be driven on a car license in Australia, and would require a truck license to drive. A car license in AUS only allows you to drive vehicles with a maximum GVM of 4500 kg. This is part of the reason why large motorhomes are uncommon in Australia - most people don't have, or want to get, a truck license just to drive one. -- Last edit: 2019-10-27 02:00:13 |

I figured it would be the license plate. Also, it appears to be a Mega Cab, judging by how thick the pillar behind the rear door is. The question is, is this a 4500 or 5500? |

3500. There's no MegaCab option on the 4500 and 5500 trucks. |
