Welcome to another episode of IMCDb's funfair of coachbuilding rarities, hosted again by yours truly! This is one of three Checker ambulances on A-12 W6M Aerobus chassis that were built in 1966 by coachbuilder De Georgi from Switzerland for a hospital in Zurich. It appears like we have the exclusive broadcasting rights for the rear view of these conversions. Hello Checker fans worldwide - you saw it first on our site! Update: It's Carrosserie De Giorgi of Bern, Switzerland, and this model was called the "Einheits-Ambulanz". -- Last edit: 2024-05-15 22:27:29 |
