I believe these were known as Parlor Cars. |

I would say a 1978 Fleetwood limousine with "Cabriolet style roof, opera lamps and decorative landau bars" as mentionned on http://www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/Phocad78.htm But maybe 1979 too, I am not sure at 100% |

Well it can't be a Fleetwood based limo, because the B-pillar is straight, on Fleetwoods it narrows at the bottom. So, originaly it was a 1978-1979 Deville. And that style custom grille was used in the earlier customization of these cars, in '79 the bars came up higher, so it's probably a '78. |

Are you sure? It looks so close to the Limousines on the link that I posted above that I wonder why modify a Deville ![]() |

Woah, that's weird, I never noticed the fleetwood limos had a Deville style B-pillar. Also, you can see on the standard Fleetwood, the chrome trip on the rockers comes up over the bottom of the door, where as on the limo it's like a Deville. I guess it must be listed as a fleetwood.. even though it looks like a stretched Deville. |

This is a factory Fisher bodied Limousine, and as such is not a 'modified' anything. The limo's were built in house and are not 'stretched' as they were built on Cadillac's own commercial ambulance chassis. In this instance, the landau and closed off quarter window are factory options for a limo, where-as the custom grille was not, and will be a dealer option. Limo's were not offered from the factory with wire wheels, even though standard Fleetwoods were, so they are likely dealer optioned as well. |
