Learned something new today, @alex. The Combo had a VSX, Spanish WMI, on the really early ones!

Yes, that makes sense indeed. I think Opel Azambuja was under control of Opel España, which in turn must have been a wholly owned subsidiary of Adam Opel AG. I haven't been able to find exact information on this topic so far, but my guess is that the WMI changed from VSX to W0L when Opel España (and thus also Opel Azambuja) became a branch of Adam Opel AG instead of a subsidiary (must have been around the second half of the 1990s) :think:
