Yes factory Coupe - it looks right. A long time ago Bebert and I had a slugging match about whether Herald convertibles with hardtops existed. Conclusion - despite being a very easy and logical thing to do, seems no-one ever did hardtops for Heralds. |

There were quite a few after market hardtops available for Herald convertibles, I used to own one in the 1980s . In fact you can still get them- http://www.honeybournemouldings.co.uk/hardtops.htm Car was quite fun except front wheels falling off when parking and doors flying open on bends People used to approach me in the street to give me spares and in one case a complete car ! as they were just old bangers then . -- Last edit: 2014-09-02 12:40:01 |

I had one of these in the 70s as a trials car. It was red and white and was registered 9071 RW. It cost me £20 and I won our local motor club's trials cup one year, using a big lad as a bouncer and a couple of kerb stones bolted down with angle iron in the boot. This was before I started to spend more time racing boats. The boats usually won. -- Last edit: 2014-09-02 14:30:59 |
