Behind a Polski Fiat 125, in the foreground a VW Polo [Typ86C] and a Renault 5 location Budapest? Does the policeman left wear an Hungarian uniform? The VW T3 Transporter (not an ambulance) is from the West German Red Cross -- Last edit: 2014-09-06 16:48:40 |

It looks a lot like Poland, by this uniform, type of number on house (in Hungary they are white IMHO) and the late version of 125p - generally not exported in this form to other COMECON countries. -- Last edit: 2014-09-06 16:49:24 |

Don't recognize this placen. According to Wiki today there is for example German consulate in Gdańsk in building 23 at the Zwycięstwa avenue in Gdańsk. Here we see building with number 25, but location doesn't look similar for me. |

This one: Link to "de.wikipedia.org" maybe I should try Google Street View... |

Ok I think I have it - it can be Dąbrowiecka 25 - in Warsaw indeed. The building/windows is similar. Back then, the old West German Embassy was there in building #30. |

Ah, great. Gdansk was unlikely for the reason, that the incidents with the DDR-refugees in Summer 1989 happened at the West German embassies in Prague, Budapest and Warsaw, but not at any consulates. |

Instead of "going to" Gdansk, I should have checked this location first, especially, that I'm often in this area (though rarely on this particular street). |
