Hmm - this shot looks interesting... The car is a bit strange and can have parts mixed from different years: - at the rear it has something what look like Polish badges used since mid 1977, they were however not to meet with this front badge - engine lid is 1977+ and was not to meet in Italian Fiat cars with front badge placed this way like on the pic (it was like that only in some Polish made cars, which however weren't exported in this form to France) - lack of chrome in windows seals fits to 1977+ Italian specification car, but again, the front badge is pre 1977 and doesn't fit - vent window lock is IMO of the type used in the years 1973 to mid 1977 @galloper - Maybe it is possible to post more shots - especially of the rear end? -- Last edit: 2014-08-21 19:25:46 |

I see two cars actually Main, 2nd, 3rd thumbrial shows Italian (1976?) Fiat 126 with older wheels (170 mm dia brake drums behind) Thumbrials no. 1, 4 & 5 shows 1977 Polski Fiat 126p with newer wheels (with 185 mm drums). |

Now, when we have more extra pics, it is clear these are 2 different cars indeed. The main one (main pic) looks for 1975-76. It has the new/black engine lid lock/handle, but still the old locks of the vent windows. Well it isn't fresh anymore (possibly repainted?) - this can expalin why there is no chromed trim in the window seals (by factory removed together with the 1977 MY facelift in case of the cars branded "Fiat"). -- Last edit: 2014-08-22 13:21:53 |
