130rapid ◊ 2014-08-19 14:22	I'd say [VH] release date October 1981 is late enough to write 1982. Especially if comparing with usual August/September (US & EU) model years' beginings.
MisterZ ◊ 2014-08-19 19:10	This is an old and tiring debate. We don't use model years in Australia - but build date. If the VH was released in October 1981, then production would have started in around July 1981. So if the build dates of VHs range from July 1981 onwards, there's no logical reason to list it as a 1982. Let me give you another example: both the VY Commodore and BA Falcon were released in October 2002, but on this site they're generally listed as 2002, not 2003 models. -- Last edit: 2014-08-20 16:11:56
