Wondering if we should rename these as Dodge Commando G-13 or '100 Series '.
Most similar trucks in IMCD are named 100 series.
However most contemporary reports and fleet lists of these fire appliances call them G-13 .
No wish to bring Renault into equation as to my mind these are Dodges.

If I understand this correctly, Renault bought the Roots company in 1980 and branded the vehicles Dodge-Renault from January 1, 1981.
However as this one was registered January 7, it must have been made a few weeks earlier, and should safely be called just Dodge.
According to a book I have (John Creighton, Firefighting in action, (1985), Blandford Press, Poole, Dorset) 26 of these was made and registered GYW 633W until GYW 658W, with fleet number P. 633 until P. 658, all registered in 1980.
The book also says they were all equipped with an UMP pump, whatever that means...

"100" badging is seen over the nearside headlight, definitely 100 series Commando before the restyled cab.

@zodiac 'Renault' branding started in 1987.

The Peugeot/Citroen PSA and Renault Industries joint-venture company purchased the business in 1981 as 'Talbot UK' (but the UK registered company name was officially 'Karrier Motors').

Renault Industries eventually bought the remaining PSA 50% share in 1984 when Renault added a small logo to the Dodge grille. Renault re-styled cab with a full width grille and Renault branding started in 1987 (an additional Dodge badge was optional, to customers or dealers, and not allways used).
