In this movie, the Mercedes-Benz Langs represented there's a high-end entertainment center. |

Shouldn't this be listed as [V123]? |

The non-W-codes apply only to later models (except C107/R107 which seems common) |

@antp: Strange, then, how Daimler divides the 123 themselves Link to "media.daimler.com" |

this wasn't my decision though (some time ago we used more specific codes) |

Is the information from official? If so, many information here should have to be changed: /vehicles_make-Mercedes-Benz_model-Lang.html |

I think we should use V123 for Lang, C123 for coupe, S123 for estate, with W123 only being used for standard length saloons. These codes are used in late 70s Glass's guides as well as the M-B official link quoted above, so did exist then with some status. |

@dsl: I'm glad you see my point. I may be stirring up a hornet's nest, but you do realize that according to the same source also the 114/115s need to be changed ? ![]() |

I think the arguments for change are very strong - and may well need to include parallel changes for W114/115 as well to be consistent (I'm not M-B expert enough to say much on those). We do split the 124 models already so there is precedent. If we did it/them, it would involve a big lot of work, most of which could probably be done by block updates (although there may be some stragglers which would need individual sifting). The load would inevitably fall on Sir Admin, so the question is whether he has the time and is willing to do it. |

I already made these changes a previous time, in the other way. So first the original discussion of what all was changed back to W-codes should be found ![]() |
