It's hard to tell, but there is a CHMSL that blends into the color, you can see the break in the lower window trim in the center, which is the location of the CHMSL. That plus the placement of the badges, from 1977-1985, the badges were in the center of the tailgate, the Caprice Classic had a crown emblem, Impala a bowtie. Starting in 1986, the badges were split with "CHEVROLET" in the left and "CAPRICE CLASSIC" or "CAPRICE ESTATE" on the right.
