How do we pull the VIN from that site he listed? |

You can't. They explicitly say so on the main page. This is 1GNEK13R1VJ385562 Here's how it works: Enter the plate here: https://avtocod.ru and it will give you in some (not this) cases a new number, which you then insert here, where it says Регистрационный знак автомобиля: https://eaisto.info You'll need a Cyrillic keyboard for all of this, a phonetic one works best. If you don't have a physical one you can easily add it in Settings if you have a Mac. -- Last edit: 2019-05-14 18:57:53 |

The 11th character is an "R", so this one was built at the Arlington, Texas plant. I don't know how to count, it's actually a "J", so another Janesville, Wisconsin built model. -- Last edit: 2019-05-14 20:33:34 |

DRLs - did it come from Canada? -- Last edit: 2019-05-14 19:06:51 |

Nope. US had DRLs 1996+ on the Chevy/GMC trucks. Canada have DRLs federally mandated as of 1990. |

Built March 17, 1997. Trim is stated to be "Classic/SLE" so I guess Classic was a trim on export Tahoes/Suburbans? Though it does state this has gray leather LT interior. So apparently these Tahoes were officially sold in Russia. I did a bit of research and found a 1999 brochure: Link to "auto-brochure.com" |
