It was a joke ![]() But in films like Vertigo (1958) or 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) you could actually call the special effects used here an early version of computer graphics. What is usually regarded as the first computer-animated movie would appear in 1963. |

In 1956 in UK this type of car was worth very little, due to its fuel use and the difficulty of obtaining spares. It would have been regarded by most people as expendable, even in the well looked after state that this appears to have been. In 1960 the annual test was introduced in UK and thousands of cars of this age and type were destroyed.
