4dr V8. Dodge had it's first V8 in '53, a 241 cu. in. hemi. '54 was the first year for the Royal model series. A '54 Dodge was pace car for the Indy 500 that year and a commemorative Royal 500 model was produced (limited edition, 701 copies). Checkered flags crossed over front fender and a "500" badge was placed over gravel guard.
